Kim McWane Friese, Devotay Pottery

In addition to owning and managing Devotay, Kim has been a professional potter for 10 years.  While her primary work is in functional, wheel-thrown vessels, she occasionally works with hand-built vessels, and decorative sculpture.

Nearly all of the plates, bowls, cups, etc. used at Devotay are individually hand-made by Kim in her home studio.

Though largely self-taught, she began her studies with John Beckelman at Coe College in 1987.
